Oberpollinger, a slightly pretentious department store on Neuhauserstrasse, has one of the most interesting Christmas lighting displays. The lights on the facade constantly shift colour, and in the street in front of the building is a recently constructed sculpture made from hundreds of planks of wood in a strange orange-red-pink colour. I've no idea what the sculpture is about, but it does seem to tie in with one of the window displays. I'm not sure what to think of it. It's certainly striking, but I wouldn't want it outside my house.
